Allscott 3 XI v Oswestry 4 XI - Allscott CC.

This week Allscott 3rd XI welcomed high flying Oswestry (5th in league) to Allscott and having won the toss elected to bowl in windy conditions. Allscott got off to a great start with the opening wicket falling in the first over. The Allscott opening attack of Stu McKinven and youngster Ryan Berry gave Oswestry a torrid time with the ball, bowling full and straight , swinging the ball around in conditions which proved difficult for batting. Wickets fell at regular intervals during a quick and aggressive spell from both bowlers with both McKinven and Berry finishing with five wickets a piece - nine of the batsmen bowled! Oswestry were bowled out for 55 inside 13 overs, McKinven finishing with figures 7-0-17-5 and Berry 6-0-32-5 with no other Allscott bowlers required.

Allscott set about the relatively easy run chase for the loss of two wickets with Stu Berry the main contributor and only batsmen to reach double figures finishing 35 not out to record an excellent and unexpected Allscott victory (58 for 2).
